I had only seen photos of Horizon Ranch and heard rumors of their incredible campus but when we arrived we were awe-inspired. I had the opportunity to meet you guys at Horizon Ranch, Guadalajara with our mission team from Bayside Church. I was looking forward to our trip to Guadalajara, however very anxious because I did not know what to expect. I understood that we would be visiting Mexico’s second largest city and that only built up more anxiety. We met Justin, Corona and Cristian “Chino” Alejandro at the airport who drove our group to Horizon Ranch. Once we arrived inside I felt at ease. We got a tour of the

grounds, and I felt tranquility and peace from that point on. Super clean living quarters with all the basic amenities, swimming pool, turf soccer field, basketball court and an awesome “mancave” - kitchen, dining and common area. I am touched by what you guys continue to accomplish through impacting youth’s lives in a brotherly way. I definitely felt that love from both of you towards the boys. In my world that is the one fruit that stirs the heart. Again thank you Darren & Justin for hosting us, for embracing and living our culture and for sharing God’s grace with Chino, Corona, Elias & Luis. I look forward to working and spending time with you all on your next project. It’s been a pleasure spending time and getting to know you both, welcome to my family!

It was wonderful to again visit the orphanage and see all the positive outcomes that you are bringing to your small part of this world. It’s exciting to see the new additions you are making to the ranch. Your mom and I believe that you are accomplishing extraordinary things in your ministerial work. We were very impressed with the kids and the love given to them. Because of your programs, the lives of those young kids, as well as the older youths in the program, will be impacted forever. As a result of your hard work and creative ideas, all of the children will have an opportunity to become productive citizens of Mexico.
